At Sighthound Home Inspections, LLC we pride ourselves in both the quality of our home inspections as well as the value you get. Not many home inspection companies offer so many freebies to their clients- this is what sets us apart from "the others".
Without a doubt, there are few arguments against getting a home inspection. So when you're shopping around for a home inspector, its best to get the "most bang for your buck". We help our clients get more value by offering the following freebies:
1. Free "user manual" for your new home, and a trusted advisor through your home buying process
Most home inspectors show up, complete the inspection and send you a copy of the report, and move on to the next one. When you hire Sighthound, we want to equip you with the knowledge you need to comfortably live in your new home beyond just the confusing home

inspection reports. With every full home inspection we complete, we leave you with a 112 page copy of "Now That You've Had a Home Inspection in Florida" written by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. This book shows you how to protect your home from hurricanes, life expectancies on your household components, preventative maintenance you should perform on parts of your house, and more.
We also encourage our clients to attend the home inspection so we can help show you were important components in the house are and to discuss potential problems in person and while you're going through the home buying process.
2. Free thermal imaging with every full home inspection
Many home inspectors will charge you extra to use thermal imaging during their home inspections. We don't.
A home inspector should use thermal imaging because it is a non-invasive and non-destructive way to detect hidden issues in a home that might not be visible to the naked eye. Thermal imaging allows the inspector to see temperature differences in building materials, which can indicate areas of moisture intrusion, electrical hotspots, and insulation deficiencies.

With thermal imaging, a home inspector can provide a better evaluation of a home's condition and help identify potential issues that need further investigation or repair. With such a valuable tool, we feel like its entirely inappropriate to charge our clients extra for using such an important tool. Imagine your home inspector not using thermal imaging, or charging you extra for something so valuable to you.
3. Free Drone Photography
With our standard home inspections, we also utilize a drone to take high resolution, 4k photos of your prospective home. Gone are the days of a home inspector standing at the street with a pair of binoculars to try and find potential issues with your roof. While there is no substitute for walking on the roof (which many home inspectors refuse to do), if conditions allow it, we make every attempt to both "walk the roof" and fly the drone to document the quality of the roofing material on your home.

Our inspector has been an FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) licensed drone operator for over 6 years and is experienced in not only flying for photography, but also in public safety/law enforcement applications. Our confidence with flying drones gets our clients the best product available.
Ask us about drone photos of your prospective home, and while we're conducting the home inspection, we'll provide you with high resolution photographs of the house that you can have completely for FREE.
4: InterNACHI's "We'll Buy Your Home Guarantee"
Home Inspector's are human, and sometimes we make mistakes. There's no professional in existence that hasn't made a mistake at some point. To help our clients, we participate in the "We'll Buy Your Home Guarantee" program provided by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI). Not every inspector participates in this program, but as an added layer of protection to our clients we feel it is our obligation to participate to add to our clients peace of mind when they're buying a new house.
What is it? Essentially, if a participating home inspector (Sighthound Home Inspections, LLC) misses an item on a home inspection that he/she should have identified as an issue according to the standard of practice (outlined in the inspection agreement), then InterNACHI will buy back the home, subject to the terms and conditions outlined here.
Not many other home inspectors in the Northwest Florida area offer this valuable program. Don't make buying a home any more stressful than it already is, and be sure to use an inspector that participates in this program.
5. Monster-Free Inspection and Certification!

If your kids think moving into a new house is scary, imagine wondering if there are monsters lurking in the closets of their new rooms! We offer free inspections of the areas that monsters like to hang out (under the bed, in the closets, etc.) and we will provide you with a certificate that certifies the areas were both inspected and guaranteed to be monster free. Give your little ones the peace of mind they deserve and help them sleep better! Just ask about this service when you schedule any of our inspections (including 4-Point and Wind Mitigation Inspections.
6. Discounts for First Responders
Sighthound Home Inspections, LLC believes in giving back to those who protect and serve our community. Our home inspector is prior law enforcement with almost a decade of public service as a patrol officer, detective, investigator with the Kentucky Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and a task force officer with the Federal Bureau of Investigations Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation (CEHT) Task Force.
